ABOUT

Hi, my name is

Heidi Harting

Person in yellow coat and colorful scarf walking on foggy city street at night.

I am a

lifestyle

storyteller

of dogs and people

I. Love. Photographing. Dogs.

There's something extraordinary about photographing animals. It's unscripted, deeply honest, and full of life. My work is rooted in understanding not just how dogs think, move, or look, but who they are and what they mean to the people who love them.

Each session is a blend of patience and instinct. I watch, I listen, I wait for the connection to reveal itself - whether it's a soulful glance or a full-out case of the zoomies. That's where the story lives.

My goal? To create images that will make you cry. Yes, my goal is to make you cry :)

TAILS OF THE WORLD

Founded by Caitlin J. McColl in 2015, the Tails of the World Collective is an international group of professional pet photographers. United in their mission, they make a difference for pets in need and celebrate our universal love of dogs.

THE CHARITIES

The session fees' entire proceeds are donated to Plymouth Helping Hands for Animals, located in Plymouth, Massachusetts. You can find more information about them on their website, Instagram, and Facebook. Their mission statement is "Plymouth Helping Hands for Animals believes in compassionate and responsible care for all animals while promoting and improving the welfare of animals through education and outreach."

All proceeds from the book sales are donated to the Geelong Animal Welfare Society in Victoria, Australia. The society's mission is to promote the welfare and value of companion animals to improve the health and well-being of the wider community. They achieve this by caring for and rehoming lost and relinquished companion animals, engaging in research, advocacy and promotion of health and well-being through companion animals, and providing education, services and products that enable responsible animal ownership and improve the wellbeing of both people and their companion animals.
