Porch Project Update
It's been a wonderful few weeks photographing Porch Portraits, and the response has been overwhelming! I am so pleased that through 10% of Porch Portraits session fees, and an incredibly generous grant by an anonymous donor, we've raised $2500 for the Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless Food Pantry to date.
According to Coalition CEO, Sue Giovanetti, the food pantry is in dire need. I have asked that our funds raised are directed to the food pantry, where we can make the greatest difference. The Plymouth Area Coalition provides perishable and non-perishable foods to food insecure residents of the greater South Shore that includes the towns of: Carver, Cohasset, Duxbury, East Bridgewater, Halifax, Hanson, Hanover, Hingham, Hull, Kingston, Lakeville, Marshfield, Middleboro, Norwell, Pembroke, Plympton, Plymouth, Scituate, Wareham and Whitman.
Here's How You Can Help
During this uncertain time, we would love to double the impact of the project and reach a goal of $5,000. In an effort to facilitate requests, The Plymouth Area Coalition has added a FRONT PORCH PROJECT option to their website. This specific donation button will ensure that money raised will go directly to the food pantry. No amount is too small, and with a one click process they've made it easy to give.
The outpouring of generosity from the South Shore community has been humbling. I'd like to personally thank everyone who has booked a session, contributed more than the fee, or purchased a gift certificate.
Be well, stay safe ~ Heidi
